Fred is the Senior Vice President of Marketing for UBM Americas’ Technology and Advanced Manufacturing groups.
Fred came to UBM with over 20 years of business leadership experience ranging from Fortune 50 companies to pre-revenue start-ups. He began his business career with Merrill Lynch where he spent 5 years before returning to business school. Post business school he did a short stint with a strategy consulting firm before joining Dell in their North American consumer marketing division. There he held numerous roles culminating as business manager for Dell’s $5+ billion consumer desktop business. Fred then joined Dun & Bradstreet in their stand-alone Hoover’s division. He held a number of positions during his tenure including serving as the Vice President of Marketing. Fred then joined KingsIsle, a pre-product start-up in the computer gaming space. He built the marketing organization from the ground-up and took KingsIsle to a highly profitable gaming company with over 35 million registered players and over 20 million monthly unique website visitors. As Head of Marketing reporting directly to the CEO he handled all aspects of marketing from consumer acquisition to advanced analytics to media management.
Fred has a BS in Chemistry from Yale University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
